Paul Porter, CEO of Premier Franchise Management, has been in the pool & spa industry for 35 years. He recently shifted his focus from building and selling pools to marketing his methods to potential franchisees across the nation. Paul began his career in the industry without stars in his eyes, he rather had a very simple philosophy: Do what you say you are going to do, build a product with impeccable value, exceed customer expectations and let them grow your business. At that time, he did not have a grandiose vision, and like most startups he found himself under-capitalized and possessing no reputation. But with that business model, and in his relentless pursuit to build the best product for the best value and to create unparalleled customer satisfaction, Paul prospered.
Flash forward to 2019 and Premier Pools & Spas has grown to become the largest pool business in the world, has completed over 60,000 pools in 30+ years, completes over 4,000 projects annually, maintains over 500 (happy) employees and reported over $300 million in sales for 2018. His recipe for success boils down to five core values that he embodies in his everyday business approach. These core values are: integrity, work ethic, maintaining a team player attitude, accountability and emphasis on the quality of his work. Under Paul, Premier Pools & Spas has received numerous APSP International Awards of Excellence and the prestigious National Builder of the Year award presented by Pool & Spa News. Most recently, Paul and his son Brian are hosting the hit TV show Pool Kings on the DIY network, bringing Premier Pools & Spas to a nation-wide audience.
